Powderpuff 2018:

It is that time of year…Powderpuff 2018…Junior girls will play the Senior girls in an epic showdown on the football field. We will be doing sign ups the week after spring break March 19th-24th during all lunches!!! The cost is $15 to sign up! This will buy you a shirt for the game!!! The game will be held on April 5th at Goodloe Stadium at 6:30 p.m. everyone come out and support your favorite hawks as they battle it out on the field!!! All proceeds will benefit the Junior Senior Prom!

 

BuzzFree Promises Dress and Suit:

Give away will be held Saturday, March 24th 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Katlynn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy located at 1700 E. Camp Wisdom Road in Dallas. This event is open to all Junior and Seniors. Over 1500new dresses donated by the store Whatchamacallit will be given away FREE. Why spend money on a dress that can be used for your shoes, jewelry and/or even limo? This event is open to anyone regardless of income. You must sign a pledge the day of the event that you will be drug/alcohol free on prom night. You can register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/buzzfree2018. ART Meeting:

Attention all Art club members: a meeting will be held in Mrs. Mentzel’s class C124 this Thursday right after school. Be there or be square!

 

PTSA Scholarship:

Faculty, underclassman, and senior PTSA scholarship applications will be due Friday, March 9th at 1:00 p.m. You must be a 2017-2018 PTSA member and have joined by October 31, 2017 to qualify. Applications are with Mrs. Fisher in the counseling office or you can print them in the Red Oak Scholarship webpage.

 

Course Selection:

Freshmen through Juniors – if you owe the counselors any paperwork needed for your 2018-19 course selections, please turn it in to your counselor before Spring Break.

 

This includes required documents such as AP and Dual Credit Expectations, Early Release paperwork, and applications such as Peer Coach or Partner PE for example.

 

Seniors:

Would you like a field trip for a senior event??? If yes, then beginning March 26th -31st during all lunches we will be signing up students to attend Celebration Station, May 8th we will leave the school at 9 AM and return at 2:45 PM. For $30.00 you will receive unlimited go-karts, laser tag, putt-putt golf, pizza, soda and much more!!! Come sign up or see a Senior Class Officer!

 

Photo Booth/Collage:

Be a part of the 2018 Phot Booth/Collage. Stop by the Learning Commons during your free time and take a photo with your friends. Props provided.

AP Testing:

Sign-ups for AP testing begin on Tuesday, February 20th and end on Wednesday, March 21st. Students may bring their payments either cash or check made out to ROHS to the counseling office front desk before school, during lunch or after school until 3:15 p.m.

 

Bible Study:

Come to P7 bible study every Wednesday mornings in room 351 at 7:45 a.m. unlock your faith, unleash the truth, evaluate Christ and serve others.

 

Yearbook:

Buy your yearbook @ balfour.com for $70.00 during lunches until March 9th. This is your last chance to get the book before it becomes full price.

 

Learning Commons:

The Learning Commons is open every Tuesday and Thursday till 6:00pm. Must have ID, high school students only, and please dress appropriately.

 

Pokémon Trainers of ROHS!

Due to a small participation we have moved our Pokémon Club to the morning of Wednesday from 7:50 till 8:20 in room 341. Same rules as before and come prepared to battle, trade unwanted cards, or learn the rules of Pokémon if you are new to the game. ROHS Pokémon Club, It’s your turn!
