National Honor Society:
Tomorrow is the regular monthly meeting for the National Honor Society. All members are expected to either attend the 7:45 am or 4:15 pm meeting in the Lecture Hall. Again, all NHS members plan to attend tomorrow’s meeting.
All ROHS Art Club members. This is a reminder that there will be a meeting held in Mrs. Mentzel’s class C124 this Thursday right after school. We will be preparing for the ROHS Expo Night.
Summer in Europe:
Are you interested in exploring the impact that World War II had on Europe in Europe? Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of D-Day 2019 by travelling with Red Oak High School on a 2 week tour of England, Germany and France next summer. Parent interest meeting will be Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 6:30 p.m in the Lecture Hall. Contact Mrs. Flaherty room 304 or Mrs. Harakal room 303 for more information if you cannot attend.
Any girl wanting to play softball this year needs to stop by room A216 and talk to Coach Rogers on January 16th or 17th. Softball tryouts will be held on January 20th at 8am at the softball field. You must have a physical turned in to the trainers prior to trying out. Bring all of your softball equipment to tryouts at the January 20th.
Students-everyone should be following an orange schedule for 2nd semester. Please know that most schedules have changes between 1st and 2nd semester for many different reasons. Schedules will only be changed if there is an error or if the classes need balancing.
College Advising Night is next Wednesday, January 17th in the ROHS cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. We welcome all grades to speak to area colleges about everything from grad plans to scholarships. Start thinking about college now!
ACT Test Scores:
Students may pick up ACT scores at the counseling office before school, during lunch and after school.
Remember students, if you were absent for your final exams, make sure you get with your teachers to get those made up this week! This Friday is the deadline.
Waivers are due in Mrs. Guest’s office no later than 9:00 a.m. this Thursday. Remember, you MUST have a signed, approved waiver to be eligible.
Track practices will begin January 17th. Please see Coach Johnson in room 333 during 2nd period for more information!
Hawk male leadership will resume its weekly meetings on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in room 333. Meeting will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m. and after school on Thursday at 4:20 p.m. in the football field house.
The Learning Commons is open every Tuesday and Thursday till 6:00pm. Must have ID, high school students only, and please dress appropriately.
Pokémon Trainers of ROHS!
Due to a small participation we have moved our Pokémon Club to the morning of Wednesday from 7:50 till 8:20 in room 341. Same rules as before and come prepared to battle, trade unwanted cards, or learn the rules of Pokémon if you are new to the game. ROHS Pokémon Club, It’s your turn!
