Major: Mechanical Engineering / Minor: Mathematics

The majority of my professional experience has been in Aerospace, both at Bell Helicopter and Sikorsky Aircraft. As a mechanical engineer, I contributed as a member of various design teams including airframe, rotors and aircraft systems (hydraulics, controls, furnishings, equipment, and prototypes).

Over the course of eight years, I gained valuable life experience in the Aerospace industry but I have always been a teacher/coach at heart. Challenging my students to become thinkers is a priceless experience. I expect my students to stretch themselves and expand their knowledge by leaps and bounds, not just by listening to lectures but through team projects and more.

When classes are over for the day, you will probably find me on the basketball court or golf course. During my time at Red Oak High School, I became the captain of the varsity basketball under the leadership of Coach Foster and captain of the varsity golf team under the leadership of Coach Williams. These days I help out with both teams, as I am able.

And when the workday is over, I am headed home to my amazing wife, brilliant four-year old son, and one-year old baby girl. During the school year, they sacrifice a lot and I am blessed by their support. On the weekends we enjoy time with our extended family. My favorite activities include motorcycle riding, mountain biking and ultimate frisbee.
