This will be my seventh year teaching and my fifth year in Red Oak ISD.  In college I realized how much I enjoy working with students while teaching and coaching at summer debate camps for middle and high school students at Marquette University and UCLA.  Watching those students make progress and learn skills that would help them succeed gave me a true sense of purpose.

During my time here I have taught 5th and 6th grade special education classes.  Prior to arriving in Red Oak I taught in the New York City public school system, including 5th grade special education/inclusion and 4th grade general education in the Bronx.

I was raised in Wisconsin but I got to Texas as soon as I could.  I really enjoy the warm weather!  I also love animals of all kinds.  My husband and I have two cats and a dog.  I'm passionate about speech and debate and competed at both the high school and collegiate level.
