Meet the Library Media Specialist

Hello! My name is Adrian George and I am the Library Media Specialist at ROHS for the 25-26 school year. I have been a part of the ROHS Hawk Family since 2023.
This is my 19th year in education and my 7th year as a Library Media Specialist! I taught Math grades 6th – Algebra I for 12 years in Dallas ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, and Desoto ISD. In 2019 I graduated with my Master of Educational Technology-Library Science and became a librarian in the Fall in Dallas ISD. During that time I also served as a Campus-Wide Testing Coordinator and UIL Coordinator.
I look forward to developing a love of reading by helping students find “THAT BOOK.” Reading builds literacy, broadens knowledge and helps to strengthen critical thinking skills. I encourage students and teachers to stop so that we can chat about how I can help them on their educational journey.
I have 2 AMAZING daughters who will be starting 10th and 7th grades this year. They also share a love of reading and still prefer the touch of a book in their hands.
In the age of technology “Google can bring you back 100,000 answers. A librarian can bring you back the right one.”
